About Me

I am a geneticist and bioinformatician from New Zealand. I completed my PhD at the University of Otago where I used next-generation sequencing to investigate genetic causes of cancer in an indigenous population. Most recently I worked as a postdoctoral researcher (also at the University of Otago) investigating genetic modifiers of cancer risk and the classification of variants in and near cancer predisposition genes. Within GHGA I will be working on data curation and processing workflows as a part of the C2 group. I believe large initiatives, such as GHGA, are critical for the advancement genome research and am excited to be able to contribute to the efforts.
