GHGA Webinar: A Beginner’s Guide to Epigenetics

New to the field of epigenetics and its analysis methods? Or just looking for a brief intro to the topic? Then we have a webinar for you - in ‘A Beginners Guide to Epigenetics’ we will talk about the basics of epigenetic research and analysis methods.

Epigenetic modifications of DNA and chromatin provide an additional and complex layer to the transcription regulation of DNA - and play a major role in understanding the development of many diseases, including cancer.

Spread over two parts, this webinar will first give you a brief overview of epigenetic modifications and mechanisms. In the second part we will explain common methods for genome-wide analysis of epigenetic modifications and highlight data analysis tools and strategies.

This webinar aims at early career researchers, clinicians, bioinformaticians and everyone who would like to get a quick introduction to the world of epigenetics - including modifications, mechanisms and analysis methods.

The webinar will be held by Dr. Kathrin Kattler (Department of Epigenetics, Saarland University), who investigates epigenetic mechanisms in mammalian development and various clinical contexts.

The event is in English and will be held on 04 May 2023, 16:00 CEST (available afterwards on demand). Attendance is free, but we ask for registration.
