DKFZ Guest Lecture: Wolfgang Hoffmann

Wolfgang Hoffmann is a renowned expert in health services research from the Greifswald University Medicine and partner of the DKFZ in data management for the NAKO Health Study. In the DKFZ Lecture on July, 26th, 2023 at 11:30, he will talk about „Health services research: analyses and interventions for a learning health system“. The lecture is organized in cooperation between the DKFZ and the German Human Genome-Phenome Archive (GHGA).

 

The Lecture will take place in K1/K2 at the DKFZ Main Building (Neuenheimer Feld 280, Heidelberg).

More about Wolfgang Hoffmann:

Wolfgang Hoffmann is Head of the Section Epidemiology of Health Care and Community Health and Managing Director of the Institute for Community Medicine at University Medicine Greifswald. In 1995, he qualified as a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology (MPH) at the School of Public Health, University of North Carolina, USA. In 2002 he was offered a BMBF sponsored professorship and two years later a full professorship for Epidemiology of Health Care and Community Health at the University Medicine Greifswald, Germany. Since 2017, he is Head of the Central Unit of the Cancer Registry Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Since 2012, he is Speaker of the Rostock/Greifswald site of the German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases e. V. (DZNE). His research focuses on population-based cohorts and intervention studies, innovative care concepts and central data and quality management. From 2012 to 2107 he was a member of the board of directors of the German National Cohort (GNC). Prof. Hoffmann is Chairman of the board of the German Network Health Services Research (DNVF e.V.) and member of the executive board of the Technology, Methods, and Infrastructure for Networked Medical Research (TMF e.V.). He is presently a member of the steering boards of NUM-NUKLEUS and NUM-RDP and NUM-Research Infrastructure (SG FIS).
