GHGA at the International Workshop on Science Gateways 2023

The 15th International Workshop on Science Gateways was hosted by GHGA member Jens Krüger 13-15th June 2023 in Tübingen. GHGA team members Jordy D. Orellana Figueroa, Moritz Hahn, Zehra Hazal Sezer, Thomas Jakob Zajac, and Simon Parker participated. The workshop brought together researchers and scientists from various scientific domains to discuss problems and solutions in the fields related to science gateways, identifying new issues, shape future research directions, foster the exchange of ideas, standards, and common requirements, and push for the wider adaptation of science gateways in e-Science.
GHGA Data Protection Coordinator Simon Parker gave a talk about data protection and legal constructs in the federated project and discussed what we learned in the GHGA project.
Jordy D. Orellana Figueroa showcased our first product - “The GHGA Metadata Catalog”. He explained the Metadata Schema we use, the software development workflow for both the back- and front-end, as well as the technology used in the project. He presented an overview of the upcoming stages of development and our goals for the future functionality of the GHGA platform.
We are looking forward to meeting with the IWSG community in Toulouse, France next year!
