GHGA welcomes MDC as Berlin Data Hub

The GHGA Data Portal will be the single point of contact for the up- and download of omics data. Behind the scenes, this ‘central’ face of GHGA is serviced by data hubs operating as a federated network. The data hubs are located at GHGA partner institutions which are leading institutions in genomic medicine and major omics data producers (such as NGS-CN).

So far, GHGA consists of six data hubs located across Germany: at the DKFZ in Heidelberg, the University of Tübingen, the Technical Universities in Munich and Dresden, the University of Cologne, and the University Kiel.

We are happy to announce that the Max Delbrück Center (MDC) in Berlin has joined our operations to become the seventh GHGA Data Hub. The MDC, together with local partners Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) and Charité, will now start to develop a GHGA Data Hub in Berlin for storing and sharing of human omics data. These efforts are led by GHGA Member Dieter Beule.
