A public frontend for the discovery of study data from German research institutions.
Within this preliminary “Catalog Phase” of the project, we are demonstrating and testing functionalities such as the search of non-personal metadata and aim to create a resource to collect information on datasets available from German institutions for secondary research under controlled access conditions.
The GHGA Metadata Catalog is a discovery platform for human omics data available for research that can be requested from one of the GHGA Data Hubs.
The public catalog is a first step towards our goal to provide comprehensive data archival services for human omics data.
The datasets within are annotated following the GHGA Metadata Model, which is compatible with the metadata model of the EGA.
If interesting datasets have been identified, individuals can contact the controllers of the contained datasets using the displayed contact information for the dataset’s Data Access Committee (DAC).
Once access requests are approved by the controller, the data will be made available via resources outside of GHGA, e.g. via the EGA or other existing infrastructures.
Currently, the GHGA platform is limited to datasets that are managed at one of the GHGA partner sites.
We are actively working towards full archival functionality for human omics data. If you would like to express your interest to deposit data at GHGA (similar to the current functionality at EGA), please contact the GHGA Office.
