I have been working as a scientific project coordinator in one of the German contributing projects to the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC). In the course of this work the importance of secure data storage systems and at the same time sharing genomic data within the scientific community has become clear. As a communication officer in GHGA I am looking forward to reach out to patients, scientists and clinicians, and to communicate the notion of the project to the community.
